Abstract
The waveform viewer is an essential tool for debugging digital hardware during development. They give developers all the details they need to debug their designs, but lifting the low level details to higher levels of abstraction is often a manual task that forces the developer to context switch from debugging to bit decoding. Surfer is a new waveform viewer that is designed to be extensible to support new workflows, and be feel snappy and comfortable to use. In this presentation I will present Surfer, talk about some of the ways it has been integrated with other tools, and talk about some of the new features that have been added since the last time surfer was presented a year ago.
