Matt Venn

Matt Venn is a science & technology communicator and electronic engineer. He brings 20 years of experience to create excellent and innovative learning experiences for people all over the world.

His Zero to ASIC course has trained over 200 people and made a group submission to all 6 Google sponsored MPW shuttles.

How many designs can you fit on a die?

Right from the start I realised that 10 square mm was going to be a huge space for first timers like myself. This has led to building a system of tools that help to combine many small designs into 1 shuttle submission to save valuable silicon real estate.

I'm now trying to increase the number of designs on a die by an order of magnitude, to further lower the barrier to entry for silicon design and experimentation.
