Abstract

The Edu4Chip project aims to enhance MSc education in chip design across European universities, with a primary goal of increasing the nummber of chip design candidates. This initiative introduces practical elements into MSc programs, including tape-out experiences, to provide students with hands-on chip design projects. Central to the project is the development of an open-source hardware infrastructure as well as educational materials to facilitate student projects tape-out. Additionally, the project offers three summer schools, e-learning modules for students, and lifelong learning opportunities to support ongoing education and professional development in the semiconductor industry. The partner universities involved in the project are DTU, KTH, TAU, TUM, and IMT.
