Abstract

Unlike the digital domain where the use of standard cell libraries considerably reduces the design time, in the analog domain, it is practically impossible to store in a single library all the functions that can cover the entire possible range of applications, with all the associated electrical specifications. On the other hand, given the fact that such a static library would be very quickly obsolete due to the evolution of technologies, the help of appropriate CAD tools, allowing the generation of parameterized modules, will support the design of mixed-signal circuits and systems.

In this presentation, a library of analog functions (transistor schematics), parameterized by technology and electrical specifications, will be presented.
