Abstract

For the designer who wants to fabricate a circuit in the open world, there are lot of choices to made in terms of Open EDA tools, Open PDK, concrete fabrication etc. With the concrete case of the PicoRV32 RISC-V in SkyWater 130nm technology, we will discuss the different possibilities offered to the designer to obtain the GDS view. The discussion will focus on: OpenLane and Coriolis for Open EDA tools, different approaches to target SkyWater PDK, the bridges between the flows, the lack of verification tools etc. Our goal is to give the designer a concrete view of the choices to face.
